1. Who qualifies for this service?


This service is exclusive to all clients of The Bridge Network who are on continued maintenance.


2. What are the requirements?

The requirements are as follows:
  • Your office must be equipped with high speed Internet.
  • Remote access software must be installed and configured on the file server.
  • Have access to an email address where you can retrieve messages from the office.

3. Does The Bridge Network keep track if we go over the free limit?


It is solely the user's responsibility to keep track of how much storage space is being used. We offer tools at no charge that can be used to monitor the storage space found at mydata.bridge-network.com.


4. Can BackTrack backup my other applications?


Yes. Simply let us know what you would like to backup and we'll connect to your server and configure it.


5. My accounting data is on a different computer other than the file server. Can BackTrack be installed on a second computer?


Yes. BackTrack can be installed on as many computers as needed. Everything gets backed up under the same account but with different computer names.


6. Who can setup BackTrack?


The Bridge Network's technical support installs and configures the backup. We prefer to work with someone who is permanent at the office like the practice owner or the office manager.


7. What additional work needs to be done at the end of each day?


BackTrack requires no additional work at the end of the day. Our backup software is constantly backing up your data throughout the day.


8. Do I still need to backup onto other media (eg. Tapes, CDs, etc.)?


Although BackTrack is reliable and secure, we like to recommend that offices continue to use their existing backup after BackTrack is installed. It's never a bad idea to have more than one backup in place. Let BackTrack be the BACKUP for your backup!


9. What happens if BackTrack is not working?


If BackTrack is offline for an X number of days, the email the office used to register will receive an automatic notification stating the system is inactive. At that point the office needs to contact us so that our support team can troubleshoot the problem.


10. What is Open File backup?


Open File Backup is a utility that helps BackTrack capture files that are open, even if they are changing during the backup, without locking users out of Tracker and other applications.
